Making the decision

Facing lots of decisions, many times about things that they don’t know much about,  is the situation that most of my clients find themselves in.

Hiring a Landscape Designer can help them through that process, but the irony is that the process of choosing a designer is in and of itself is yet another decision to be made.

What is the difference between a landscape architect and a landscape designer?

A landscape architect may work to plan and execute both commercial and residential projects a landscape designer typically works on a smaller scale. A landscape designer typically has more knowledge in aspects of grading and specialized plant knowledge.

Designer tend to discuss plants and natural materials along with building patios, pools, outdoor living spaces, lighting or walls. They are knowledgeable about plants native to the area where they work, lawn care and sustainable plantings.
